Brent A. Armstrong

Biography: BRENT D. ARMSTRONG
Brent Armstrong was born in Clearwater, Florida in 1954. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Florida State University in 1976, and a law degree from the University of Florida in 1981.

He served as an Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County from 1982 to 1987. He became a County Court division supervisor, and later, a lead trial attorney in the Felony division. He served as lead prosecutor in several significant cases, including those involving charges of First Degree Murder, DUI Manslaughter, and Arson.

Brent opened his own law practice, devoted to Criminal Defense, in 1988. He has successfully defended hundreds of diverse criminal cases in state and federal courts, including first degree murder charges, DUIs, and complex federal criminal conspiracy cases. He has been designated by the Florida Bar as a Board Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer* continuously since 1993.

He is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts, the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member and Past President of the Criminal Defense Lawyers of Pinellas County, and the Criminal Law Section for the Florida Bar.

MorrisV. (Morry) Bornstein

Biography: MORRIS V. (Morry) BORNSTEIN
Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1953, Morry Bornstein received his bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in 1975, and his law degree from the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University-Detroit College of Law) in 1979. While in law school, he received the "Hornbook" award for excellence in the study of Criminal Law.

After practicing Criminal Law in Michigan for a year beginning in 1979, he was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1980, and served as an Assistant State Attorney in Pinellas County from September 1980 through December 1983 during which time he supervised attorneys in the County Court division. He then entered private practice, and his practice has either focused on, or been limited to, Criminal Law throughout his career.

He is a member of the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Michigan. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Florida and Michigan, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States Supreme Court.

Morry is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Criminal Defense Lawyers of Pinellas County, and the Criminal Law Sections of the Florida and Michigan Bars.
